Hi Everyone!

My name is Mary-Alice Tuttle and I am proud to be your 2012 Jr. SRA Rodeo Queen. I am sixteen years old and live in a very small community in the mountains of southwest Virginia called Elk Creek. I’ve grown up on a dairy/beef cattle farm and have been riding horses my whole life. I have been participating in Jr. SRA rodeos since the age of seven. I compete in 4 events; breakaway roping, barrel racing, pole bending and team roping.

To me, the sport of rodeo keeps kids out of trouble. I have met a lot of lifelong friends and people that I look up to through this sport. I love the traveling and all the friends I have made. The competition in Jr. SRA is intense and the talent is extraordinary. Everyone better look out for these future NFR contestants.

I would like to say Thank You to my parents for hauling me back and forth from rodeos for the past eleven years and allowing me to do what I love, and to all three of my wonderful horses for teaching me responsibility and for getting me where I am in every event I compete in. Also, a BIG thanks to everyone at Jr. SRA for the support as I go through this exciting year as your 2012 Rodeo Queen!

Good Luck to ALL contestants this year!

 God Bless,

Mary-Alice Tuttle, 2012 Jr. SRA Rodeo Queen
